Psychological Abuse & Trauma Weaponization

The success of Lunar Astro is not built on astrological accuracy, but on a highly sophisticated psychological sales funnel. Deepanshu Giri has masterfully constructed a persona designed to attract, disarm, and ultimately exploit vulnerable individuals experiencing life crises.

The "God Mode" Contradiction

Giri's marketing relies on two entirely contradictory narratives to manipulate his audience. On his website, he claims a "7-generation Bhrigu lineage," implying a wealthy, established, and mystical dynasty. This establishes unquestionable authority.

However, when challenged, he pivots to a "self-made martyr" narrative. On his official X (Twitter) account (@lunarastro108), he publicly stated:

"You know why there is a lot of confidence like god- My parents sold their gold to teach me engineering, I made everything from scratch no one ever handed over single thing to me... This is why I speak like God, I did things which were unimaginable..."
The Psychological Trap: You cannot simultaneously be the heir to a 7-generation mystical dynasty and a self-made man whose parents sold their jewelry for basic education. This fabricated "God Mode" is used to silence critics and demand absolute obedience from his students and clients.

Weaponizing Depression for Sales

A forensic audit of his official blogs and social media reveals a heavy saturation of themes related to emotional trauma, betrayal, and depression (e.g., posts titled "Let the Pain Go" and "Self worth and Depression issues").

By publicly sharing his own history of depression and career failure (following the 2015 oil crash), he creates a parasocial bond with highly vulnerable, depressed clients. Once they feel "understood," they are funneled into proxy consultations where junior astrologers use fear-mongering ("pending karma") to upsell them into courses costing up to ₹2 Lakhs.

Spiritual Gaslighting

When clients realize they have been scammed by the proxy consultation model and request a refund, they are subjected to "spiritual gaslighting." Customer service and the troll farm will blame the client's dissatisfaction on their "bad karma" or threaten them with "black magic," causing severe anxiety and psychological distress.
